With SciTech GLDirect you can run OpenGL-based games and other applications using your graphics card`s DirectX 6.x drivers. SciTech GLDirect even supports the latest applications that use OpenGL 1.2.

OpenGL is the cross platform, high performance standard for 3D graphics applications. Many PC graphics cards only come with drivers for Microsoft Direct3D, Microsoft`s 3D interface.

Because developing OpenGL drivers can be considerably more complex than developing Direct3D drivers, many hardware vendors have not been able to release quality OpenGL 1.2 drivers for their hardware in a timely manner.

GLDirect enables OpenGL applications to use a graphics card`s Direct3D drivers for hardware acceleration.
